Two methods were used for the analysis of vinegar sample fromthe same processor. The first, which was the traditional acid/basetitration, gave results of 5.002, 5.005, 4.997, and 4.997% aceticacid. The second, which involved an automated coloumetrictitration, gave results of 5.013, 5.009, 5.007, 5.020, and 5.017%acetic acid. Considering the above data, determine if (a) there isa significant difference in the values for the means at the 95%confidence level; and (b) Is either methods significantly moreprecise than the standard method given in Food and DrugAdministration regulations (the population standard deviation (σ)in this regulation has been determined to be 0.003 % acetic acid)at 95% confidence level? Write Ho and Ha.
