Read the Procedure/Data Sheet to gain insight on how the data was collected. The photo above is an image of a cart with an attached Force Sensor, the TARE button on the side is used to 'zero' the Force sensor. When the TARE button is momentarily pressed, the value of the Force sensor will be set to zero. For this experiment, the TARE button should be pressed when no force (pulling or pushing) is acting on the hook. Also note the cord. During data collection, it is important to ensure the cord is not exerting a force on the cart. i.e. the cart should not be dragging the cord during data collection. Question 3 3 pts How much force should be applied to the hook of the force sensor while TARING the force sensor? Force equal to the weight of the hanging mass for that run Less than 0 N (push on the hook) ON Greater than ON (pull on the hook) Force equal to the weight of the string Question 4 3 pts How much mass must be added to the mass hanger to obtain a total mass of 50g? 35g 45g 50g 40g 30g Question 5 3 pts Capstone has been programmed to automatically stop data collection after the cart has traveled what distance? 25 mm 25 m 0.25 m 2.5 m Question 6 3 pts With 50g hanging, how much force must your hand exert on the cart to keep the cart from moving. Provide your answer in Newtons to two decimal places.
